This group of 13 major islands and dozens of smaller islets and rocks - all the result of volcanic activity- certainly appear to be out of this world. They are, in fact, an unpredicted wildrness, filled with extraordinary population of unique species which have developed apart from humans and their dominating influence.

Diving in the Galapagos Islands is quite simply incredible. Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine ranks the Galapagos Islands as the best dive destination in the world. In the Indo Pacific region it ranked number one in the categories of Healthiest Marine Environment, Best Big Animal Dive and Best Advanced Diving. Galapagos scuba diving tours can be booked on a live aboard boat for multi-day dives or in Puerto Ayora for day dives. Among the animals commonly seen are various species of sharks including hammerheads, manta rays, sea turtles, stingrays, sea lions and large schools of tropical fishes.

Charter Galapagos diving boats to the islands of Darwin and Wolf can be arranged. For those lucky enough to dive near these islands, whale sharks and whales can be seen.
